‘Supersex’ Review: Rocco Siffredi’s True Porn Story Doesn’t Shine

Overall, ‘Supersex’ isn’t just an examination of one man’s life and career but a look at the lives people create, however unconventional, when they dare to move through the world as their most authentic selves. The popular strip is flooded with locals and tourists at all hours of the day and late into the night, including the estimated 2 a.m. Timeframe police estimate the sex-crazed pair engaged in their affair. I had heard about this kind of thing happening to high school girls, which is horrible enough.

Interestingly, the birth of Rocco Siffredi, the porn legend, isn’t depicted in the series. I’m not a technophobe and have, in the past, been somewhat skeptical about the outsize negative impact of social media on teen girls. The possibilities are especially frightening when the technology is used by teens and tweens, groups with notoriously iffy judgment about the permanence of their actions. For Rocco, porn acting has always been more than just a job, and to understand why, Manieri and the series’ directors turn their lens to the Italian Stallion’s past.
