On Thursday he unveiled a series of new billboards advertising Montero around Los Angeles. The four billboards posted on his social media see Lil Nas X taking on the role of a personal injury lawyer, offering his services for those afflicted with a variety of problems. He later celebrated the upcoming arrival of ‘Montero’ with a lavish baby shower, an event which he shared on social media, thanking celebs such as Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat for their thoughtful gifts.
The openly gay rapper posed in a now-viral pregnancy photo shoot ahead of his upcoming album release. Ahead of the release of his ‘baby’ later this month, the chart-topper produced an extravagant pregnancy shoot, brought to life by a very realistic bump and an angelic flower crown. Two days before the album dropped, Lil Nas X shared a video of him hosting a baby shower for Montero, although no one showed up. Despite how it may seem, this isn’t a reaction to Drake’s maternal Certified Lover Boy cover art, but just a fortuitous coincidence. Nas told People that when he saw Drake’s image source cover, he thought, ‘There’s no way the universe is lining up this perfect for this to happen,’ Nas thought. Days after the ‘pregnancy’ photos and the criticism that came with it, Lil Nas X and his team set up a ‘baby registry’ for people to donate to LGBTQ and human rights nonprofit organisations.

In the much-buzzed about shoot, Nas X poses with a pregnant belly, with his unborn ‘baby’ representing his upcoming album. In true Lil Nas X fashion, the rapper continued to poke fun at the situation and his haters. He wrote, ‘let me get offline, all of this negative energy is not good for the baby.’ Nas X’s ‘baby’ is due on Sept. 17, and will feature artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Elton John and more. ‘You’re getting a lot of stories about me,” he says of the 15-track record. “You’re getting a lot of stories about my past and where I want to be in my love life.
